WLtoys announced Q222 altitude hold quadcopter with a Tagline "Spaceship". Wltoys Q222/Q222G seems to be a definite successor of the today's most popular V686G FPV Quadcopter under $100. Though resembling almost like a v686G when it comes to design, Q222 has got some unique features with the integrated air pressure sensor, a barometer.
Along with the Headless Mode and automatic one key return (which has now become an essential part of all the quadcopters), Q222 is also featuring Altitude Hold (AH-Mode) for stable air pressure hovering and automatic take off, along with 5.8GHZ FPV for aerial photography. (V686G is my first FPV quad, check my detailed review here.) Q222 FPV Quadcopter comes along with 720P HD camera and 8.5mm coreless motors. Worth to mention, V686G Camera was well appreciated by Quad flyers, standing high when compared to mediocre Syma 2MP Cameras
The battery seems to have got an upgrade, Q222G is featuring 1200 mah for longer flight times with charge time of around 90 minutes and control distance of 100 to 150 meters. and available in two colors, Red and Black
First Look of WLtoys Q222/Q222G Quadcopter
Bottom Line: Though Q222G is not equipped with GPS, worth a watch on how the altitude-hold works!

That's a load of lies...THIS MODEL DOES NOT HAVE HEADLESS MODE NOR RETURN TO HOME...because it has no GPS that's impossible. Further the manufacturers actually confirmed this to me in writing....so STOP THE LIES...
ReplyDeleteThank You for view, this definitely has got Headless mode and Auto return, i agree the fact that it has not got any GPS, but that's where the barometer/Air pressure lock will come into play to help with GPS
DeleteI lost my V686g, So I have some parts like motors, gears, etc. Can I use it with the q222g? Can I use the monitor from the v686g too, so I can watch the video stream on both monitors at the same time?
ReplyDeleteYes that is absolutely possible, v686g and q222 FPV are compatible and even the motors gears and design all look same!
DeleteWhere can I get the upgrade battery 3.7v 1200mah li-po for my Q222G quadcopter.
ReplyDeleteGood morning I was wondering if you were able to find an upgraded battery for your Q222G quad??
