Here is the new Syma X5UC, a new addition to the most popular Syma X5 series range of quadcopters. As pointed out in my earlier introduction to the Syma X5UW, the X5U quadcopters X5UW, the wifi series and the non Wifi variants are initially unveiled at CES 2016 and these got completely new and refreshing look. in fact, the X5U series seems to be the flagship models of Syma 2016 launches.

The Syma X5UC is not an upgrade to the X5UW. rather, its a non wifi fpv variant with 2 megapixels HD camera and its a known fact that Syma always releases its quacopters in two variants, the WIFI and the non wifi.unlike other syma quadcopters, the X5UC features the power button at the top and comes with proprietary battery design which locks to the quadcopter, eliminating the need to plug the battery with the wires.(as seen in hubsan H107C+ mini's)

Syma X14W WIFI FPV Quadcopter is Launched

Here is new drone into the market, Syma X14W, WIFI FPV quadcopter, X14W is another new launch in 2016. The first pictures of new 2016 Syma X14W reveals that the drone comes with the cool aircraft model design along with thecamera beneath. The Camera resolution is 1 Mega Pixels and streams the live feed through WIFI, while the control range is 70 meters.

Syma, the brand know for manufacturing highly stable, reliable, durable and fun to fly helicopters and quadcopters, is all set to release its first new model of 2016 Called Syma X5UW. New Model of 2016? Yes you got it right, though the previous models like X8HC, X5HC, X5HW, X8HG, X8HW are released in 2016 and currently available for sale in retail market, in my view those are actually an upgrades to the 2015 catalogue.

 If you have a profound look at the specifications and features of all the drones released till date (X8HC, X5HC, X5HW, X8HG, X8HW)  have got an altitude hold feature added with  new refreshing colors, but not much change in the design.

Admitting the fact that, Syma X5UW was first revealed in CES 2016, this is one of my much awaited mini quadcopters in 2016, besides Hubsan H501S and H502 GPS Series. 

Getting into the design details, the top body of X5UW reminds me of Cheerson CX-32S quadcopter, but its completely unique in overall design.it has got glossy finish all over with chrome lining. Unlike Other syma Quadcopter, X5UW has got the power button at the top.

Battery

Proprietary battery design, as seen in Hubsan H107C+ quadcopter, X5UW battery is a part of the quadcopter body design. Ease of use, just a plug an play concept, eliminating a need to connect wires to get the quadcopter powered on.

Landing Skids

Landing Skids has got a complete make over, the four flattened V Shape skids tend to provide more stable landing , as the drone featuring auto take-off and auto landing

2MP Camera

As Evident from the specifications, Syma X5UW is powered by 3.7v 500mah battery which gives a flight time of around 7-8 minutes approximately. In my view Syma would have considered to upgrade to battery to 750 mAh for longer flight times, i recommend having a spare battery, if you really love to enjoy this beauty flying multiple times! . 

The Features altitude Hold, oney key return, auto take off and auto landing along with the headless mode (also called IOC -Intelligent Orientation Control) definitely make Syma X5UW a beginner friendly quadcopter.

First Look of Syma X8HC Quadcopter

In  Early 2016 at CES Las Vegas, Syma Announced that the big Drones of 2015 Series (the X8's) will get an upgrade. Its a known fact that Syma is known to produce quality and stable quadcopters,the 2015 X8 Series quadcopters were well received by the beginner, intermediate and casual flyers. The Previous X8C is now called X8HC and X8W is called X8HW along with the  X8G with the Go pro style camera is announced as X8HG

Though nothing has changed significantly when it comes to the design and technical specifications, the altitude hold which seems to have drawn the attention of most the quadcopter enthusiasts in the year 2015, is now part of Syma 2016 Series Quadcopter. Not just the X8 series, all the 2016 series drones from Syma will have a barometer enabled Altitude hold for precise hovering.

While the New  X8HW and X8HG are on the way to hit the retail market very soon, below  is a quick sneak speak of Syma X8HC quadcopter along with a recap of specifications.

Syma X9S, an Upgrade to X9 Fly Car

Syma is set to release X9S (Syma X9S 2016 Version)Air Wheels Flying Quadcopter(quadcar), an upgrade to its original X9 Flying car, which was initially unveiled in 2015. Surprisingly, the X9S was not part of Syma 2016 Line up. Its evident from the picture below that, the wheels seems to got an upgrade along with the design on the outer shell of the car.

The Picture below tells it all, there is a significant change to the wheels and its design, the earlier version has a hard foam wrapped on the plastic wheel which in-fact, not so durable to drive on hard surfaces. The new upgraded wheels,  as made of complete plastic, seems to be more durable and easy to roll on the floor,  least you don't need to worry about the foam replacements.

Though the specifications of Syma X9S are unknown at this stage, i predict syma would feature altitude hold for X9S Fly Car, reason being most of the Syma 2016 (X8HG, X8HW, X8HC, X54HW, X54HC),  Line-up is featuring Altitude Hold.

Syma Introduces X54HC, X54HW X5UW Quadcopters

Syma, the brand known for its stability, announced 2016 series quadcopters. The X54HC and X54HW are one the new models for 2016. In fact Syma X54HC and X54HW has refreshing look and seems no upgrade to 2015 designs. The First look reminds me of MJX X101, but with a traditional syma trademark camera and landing gears.On a Quick note, the H stands for hover Function (aka Altitude hold)

When it comes to specifications and features, not much upgrades. Both X54HC and X54HW featuring an Altitude Hold (Barometer Set Height) along with the headless mode for easy orientation.The X54HW featuring 0.3 Megapixels camera for both photo and videos and capable of  FPV over WIFI through android or ios compatible devices,where as the X54HC is set to have a 2.0 Megapixel resolution for Photos and 1 Megapixel resolution for Video captures and comes with a standard Syma Transmitter.

The controlling distance is 30 meters and operates with a 3.7v 650 mah Battery with a flying time of around 5 to 7 minutes approximately. 2.4 GHZ, 6-axis Gyro are common accompanied features of X54HC and X54HW

The Other 2016 Line Up of Syma includes, X8HC, X8HG, X8HW which belong to the X8 Series family of 2015 and seems to have got a altitude hold upgrades and refreshing colours. X5HC and X5HW resembles almost similar to X5SC-1 and X5SW-1 with a WIFI FPV. On the flip side, X16 Fighter, X51 and X52C seems to be a new entry in 2016 which was revealed in CES this year.

In my view, the above are definitely a feature upgrades to the existing products with a hover/altitude hold. Syma X20 is a smallest Bluetooth quadcopter with 1080p camera, this can be controlled through phone via Bluetooth. Syma X5UW is another addition to 2016 catalogue,  seems completely a refreshing design, with a easy to use battery compartment. Syma also confirmed that, they would launch  a 5.8 GHZ quadcopter in mid of 2016.

Evidently Syma is targeting second half of 2016 for its new launches, to be able to boost its sales for Christmas.  Keep watching this space for more updates.
